In this demonstration, we focus on the fixed assets management capabilities within NetSuite. We’ll walk through creating fixed assets from journal entries, purchase orders, vendor bills or inventory transfers. We’ll also show how to bulk import both new and existing fixed assets into NetSuite. Using one of NetSuite’s automated fixed asset reports, we’ll demonstrate how to filter fixed assets by subsidiary, asset type, location, or even create customized views. The report also provides capabilities to split or combine assets, dispose, depreciate or even see multiple methods of depreciation. Lastly, we’ll review the trend analysis on the fixed asset report, which breaks down assets in place at any given time, from a high level view.
