How do you email out of NetSuite? The native emailing capabilities for transactions and statements are a good way to maintain an audit record in a centralized location, but can be inflexible if you want to include multiple email addresses or separate distribution lists per transaction type.
Meridian built a solution (and continuing to expand its capabilities). It is built on the idea of creating an “email rule”. An email rule specifies the rules in which it is used (can be defined by the transaction type, subsidiary, location and/or class). Once defined what conditions would execute an email rule, it defines attributes of the email:
- From: address
- Reply To: address
- Email template (using native templates)
- Send timing (on save, scheduled or ad hoc only)
- Cc: rules
- Attachments
This setup is available on any external transaction type (PO, Remit advice, Order Confirmation, Ship Confirmation, Invoice, CM, etc.). It uses contact records for the distribution list and any contact can be opted into one, many or none of the emails. It’s our one-stop solution for emailing anything and everything out of NetSuite.
